In the beginning … It is where we begin. It is where everything started, and so we also start here. God created, and when He finished He saw all that He had made – and He said it was very good. As we begin a new year, our focus will be searching out and learning about the nature and character of God. We will try to shift the way that we look at the world to where we are more “God-centered” than “Me-centered”. We will learn about ourselves as we study, because as we read today, we are made in His image, and as we learn about His image, we will discover who we are in Christ. Let’s join together on this walk as we learn about who God really is and strive to place Him at the center of our universe.
So... who taught the sun where to stand in the morning?
Who told the ocean "you can only go this far!"
Who told the moon where to hide till evening?

questions to think about:
how do you see creation testifying (giving proof) that there is a God?
what's the most amazing part about creation to you?
what would have been your hardest decision if YOU were the one "creating"?
if you were telling this story to someone for the first time (the story of creation)... what would be the most important thing you would want them to remember?
The most amazing part of creation is where God made all of it in six days. We still haven't found all he made and we have been here for who knows how many years. This shows how amazing our God is. Braden
ReplyDeleteI don't understand how God has been around forever. But I guess that's typical for an average joe since all we know has a beginning.
ReplyDeletei don't understand that either.
ReplyDeletemy mind cannot get around it. that's one characteristic of being created... that our thoughts are not His thoughts.
what has He done with all this time?
He has us here and now... and my only choice is to decide how will i respond to this eternal creator? now that i can understand a little better
